Volunteer Driver Service (VASA)

Warwickshire County Council have provided VASA with funding to provide FREE transport to get those in the priority groups to their vaccine appointments.

These include vaccines booked through the GP surgery and at the mass vaccine sites in Stoneleigh and Millennium Point, as well as at the pharmacists now coming on board.

There is concern that some people are not attending due to transport issues.

VASA is a charity that has been providing voluntary car services in the area since 1978.

We have worked with the local Public Health team to ensure the service is safe and meets all regulations.

Please pass this information on to residents who may need assistance, including any social media accounts you may have.

Patients or their friends and family can call Monday to Friday, between 9am and 4pm to book transport to their appointment to a central booking line on 01789 262889 and press option 1 or email transport@vasa.org.uk

This is for any resident living in the Rugby, Stratford or Warwick districts.

We have over 120 volunteers, all who are enhanced DBS checked and have been trained and issued with PPE.

If you require any further information please email the Community Transport Manager ali@vasa.org.uk
